The following selections are from my own shelf of fishing books. They're listed alphabetically by author; however, the last one, Surfcaster's Quest, is my choice for the best surf fishing book ever written.

	If you've ever fished Jamestown or Block Island, Rhode Island, you'll get a real kick out of this book. The author, Leo Orsi, Jr., writes a very honest memoir of his surf fishing experiences including amusing stories about his rookie mistakes and some of the interesting characters that he fishes with on Block Island. It's not great literature, but it's a fun read for experienced surf fisherman.
	The Compleat Surfcaster

	Everything the beginning surfcaster needs to know about tackle, techniques, and strategies. Includes a thorough review of tackle, rigs, baits, lures, and accessories. Also teaches better casting methods for distance and accuracy and "reading the surf" techniques for finding more fish.

	Surfcaster's Quest Seeking Stripers, Blues, and Solitude at the Edge of the Surging Sea

	Zambrotta tells amazing stories about cow stripers caught in the 1980's on Block Island. He interviews many of the legendary Block Island surfcasters and tells the stories in their words. He also gives a nice overview of fishing the many great spots around the island.
